The Tempered Bull

Our Approach

Investing in the stock market has long been seen as this opaque other world that is only accessible to the wealthy. It has built up a reputation, fair or not, that it is a system designed so that the rich continue to get richer. Today, this notion exists solely as a myth.

We’ve all heard it “You gotta spend money to make money,” and while it is true that if you invest $1,000,000 it is a lot easier to walk away with $1,100,000 than it is to reach those same heights off of a $10,000 investment (or less!), with patience consistency anything is possible.

Here at the Tempered Bull our goal is to help the average person save up money and reach the rarified air of becoming a millionaire. How do you know we mean business? Because I am on this journey right with you. While I am not some fancy hedge fund manager, nor professional trader, (in fact I work as a scientist) my goal is to show as many people as possible that if I can invest, so can you!

By looking at an incredibly long timeframe to buy and hold the stocks we love (5+ years) we can outsmart the near-sighted Wall Street analysts that only look at maximum a year in advance. If that still doesn’t entice you, I will be frequently creating miniature portfolios of the stocks I love to share with all of you, absolutely free!

A list of stocks each quarter? Big whoop, you can find free stock picks all over the internet.

That’s exactly why these stocks I share are ones each quarter that I am adding directly to my own personal portfolio, not only that but we will frequently check in on how these are doing as compared to our biggest opponent, the markets.

Like I said, I’m not a professional here so ultimately the stocks I think are buys may not be right for you. I’m just a 22-year-old kid who loves reading financial statements and pouring over earnings reports, but I want to show you how I’ve been able to consistently beat the market. No secret information, no specialized training, just good old trial and error. Because why invest in individual stocks if the market outpaces them? We have the luxury of picking and choosing the companies that we see as the future of our world.

Together with research, and discipline, we can find the next life-changing stock pick such as Amazon (which turned an initial $1,000 investment into over $1,000,000).
